Here are a couple of things that I think would be useful to keep in mind, in order to maximize your enjoyment of your watch: 1. It’s not pretty. What I mean is, unlike many other kdramas, that serve up sanitized, glossy story worlds, this show serves up its drama world in all of its gritty, unvarnished glory. 2.Grade: B+. The Half of It (2020) American movie from writer Alice Wu. A beautifully written movie, the acting keeps up for the most part of it. It’s a comedy / biting, sarcastic / coming of age movie of a high school protagonist trying to get by in a small town far across the bay from Seattle. Grade: B+.A meaty, dark, whimsical melodrama that examines the difficulties faced by people suffering from trauma and mental illness, It’s Okay is not an easy watch at all. There is lots to unpack, difficult feelings to feel, and even internal biases to examine.
