I have an update to my post on the engine oil check procedure in the XC40. I spoke with a Volvo Service Associate (second time) at my local dealer. He advised me to let the car's oil level sensors do the work of alerting me when the engine oil level is low. I don't have any experience with the Drive-E engine. My wife, without any problems, enlarged the battery on her journey yesterday. Look at the screenshot below. These were caused when a buildup of pollen (and/dirt) clogged the drainage holes for the moon roof. The holes are located on either side of the front of the channel the moon roof sits in (near the corners).The 90 has 8 inch wide 42.5mm offset wheels. The 40p8 has 19x7.5x50.5mm front and 19x8.5x56mm or 20x8x50.5mm and 20x9x58mm. 235-50-19 and 255-45-19 can both be mounted on 8 inch wide rims 6.5-8.5" and 8-9.5" respectively. Cargo room volume in the XC40 is 57.5 cuft vs 48.7 cuft in th C40. I have definitely used that extra volume in my XC40 when camping or loading the family of four up with provisions plus dog for a day trip.

People are saying that this has lots of stability improvements and some even report better range. Evidently, this update has to be installed by the dealer. Seating space inside is great though for 4 people. The rear load area isn’t huge, but adequate, and the rear seats fold nice and flat for larger loads.
