Some schools accept twice the size of their entering class assuming half of the students accepted will withdraw. If more than that number withdraw then there is waitlist movement. This link from AMCAS can tell you how long the waitlists usually are at all of the schools and how many people typically get off the waitlist. Historically, the major movement tends to be after the PTE deadline in early May.
