Apr 30, 2011 · 140. MKIV has an easy 1 button take down, the Victory requires the removal of a single screw. Ruger has a safety recall on the MKIV, S&W had issues with the takedown screw coming loose. Both issues have been resolved. Just my opinion, but you stand a much better chance of getting a usable factory trigger with the S&W than with the Ruger. Replacing the trigger with something aftermarket would probably add $100-200 AUD on top of the purchase price, which could make the Mark IV 22/45 more expensive than other options with better triggers out of the box. However, if the factory trigger is not as awful as it's made out to be, postponing modifications might put it back in the running. 3.
